This week’s Essential New Tune marks this Tri Town Chicago-native and legend's first solo single for 14 years. It’s a brand new take on a track he actually put out in 2002 and it’s coming as a vinyl-only release via Press Pot Recordings, the record label of Windy City coffee manufacturer Dark Matter, but this particular remix comes from another Chicago local, Stacy Kidd. The artist is Derrick Carter (who's back in the UK at the end of March for a series of shows) and this is Square Dancing, the Stacy Kidd House 4 Life remix. This week’s Essential New Tune is featured in last week’s Friday show on BBC Radio 1. Listen again and forward to 31:30 mins here.
