  • IFPI Global Music Report. (RotD) Worldwide recorded music revenues rose 9.7% to $19.1bn (£14.6bn) in 2018. Streaming revenue rose by 34% year-on-year to $8.9bn, accounting for 47% of the total. The sale of physical formats fell by 10.1% to $4.7bn, 24.6% of the market. Download revenue declined 21.2% to $2.3bn, 7.7% of the market. Sync revenue was up by 5.2%, while performance rights revenue was up by 9.8% and now represents 14% of total recorded music revenues.
