Pete Tong's Essential New Tune
Woohman
Kölsch
Kompakt
out now
Comment
What I love about this guy is that he is always trying to push the boundries, always searching deep for new sounds, new ways of putting tracks together that sound totally fresh. I think he's done it this time, again. I got to witness him playing this out, it was the opening track when he followed me at that Camelphat gig in Liverpool last month. You can always expect the unexpected from Kölsch as he returns to his first home and Kompakt's eternal Speicher series.
This week's featured Essential New Tune was featured in last week’s Friday show on BBC Radio 1. Listen again and forward to 32.45 here.
