"This was always destined to be an ENT when I first heard it about six weeks ago, and the 4 March is the day they always wanted to put it out, but so much has changed in the world over the last eight days, especially for the guys that made it. It comes from ARTBAT, who are Ukrainian. Originally, they made this EP based on how they were feeling during the pandemic, but given that the two tracks on the EP are called 'Keep Calm' and 'Our Space', you have to say that those titles take on a whole new meaning. Artur and Batish are still in Ukraine and are very much feeling the full brunt of everything, but talking to them and their team over the last couple of days, they decided to stick with the release date and put these songs out."
This week's featured Essential New Tune was featured in last week’s Friday show on BBC Radio 1. Listen again and forward to 33.01 here.
