true IMS Industry Insider | Welcome
Pete Tong's Essential New Tune
Yumi
Notre Dame
Diynamic
out now
Comment
"So this tune has been huge for Solomun in the recent month. It's been the closing track for many of his sets across the summer into the autumn. It is now out as part of a three-track EP, by the name of Yumi, on Solomun's label Diynamic. This has been the most reactive track in my sets over the past month, phones come over waving, clips go up online,  and questions ask - what is it, what is it? You've already heard from this guy as he did a brilliant remix where he won a competition for Dixon's Innervisions label, remixing Jimi Jules's My City's On Fire. So here he is with his debut on Diynamic. This is Yumi from Notre Dame."
This week's featured Essential New Tune was featured in last week’s Friday show on BBC Radio 1. Listen again and forward to 35.53 here.
