Pete Tong's Essential New Tune
Soda
Notre Dame
Diynamic
out now
Comment
"It is coming out of Paris, the host city of the 2024 Olympics, which kicks off at the end of July, and his name is pretty cool, because he goes by the name Notre Dame, one of the city's iconic landmarks. This will be his second ENT after nabbing his first for the epic 'Yumi' on Solomun's Diynamic label back in 2022. Off the back of that, I selected him as one of my Radio 1 Dance Future Stars in 2023 and he's back on Diynamic with a new four track EP, titled 'Citizen 99'. It's all pretty hot, and in fact, I will be featuring one in the Hot Mix at the end of the show, but we are going to focus on track 1 right now. This week's ENT is 'Soda'."
This week's featured Essential New Tune was featured in last week’s Friday show on BBC Radio 1. Listen again and forward to 32.20 here.
